Lol option 3. If it's not being revealed at E3, I doubt it's coming this year. And that makes sense to me, wanting to reserve as much attention for PSVR this holiday season. Neo will likely be announced early next year (if not at PSX) and released some time within Q1 to Q3 to compete with NX and Scorpio.

I always thought an early 2017 release was more likely. Doesn't make sense to release a new hardware iteration the same year as something as expensive as PSVR.

Yeah, now I'm actually thinking about it, it doesn't seem right that they'd launch psvr and neo at same time, one hardware launch at a time. 2017 I think now.

Didn't the original rumor say it was supposed to be revealed in September? So it could still release this holiday season.

One of the rumours stated that games had to have a Neo mode from October, so it was assumed that, that was when it was releasing.

I wouldn't be surprised if the recent rumours around Scorpio being more powerful have made them rethink and perhaps a delay so that it will be comparable would be smarter.

I was saying this, I don't see them releasing this year when waiting for just another year would mean the come out with a box that's at least as powerful as the rumored scorpio. Especially if u consider that both Sony and MS are getting their child from the same vendor.

Lastly, MS is the one that needs to come out with a new box not even Sony, so why would Sony do something that could kill their momentum, they can wait.

I think it'll release this year. They won't announce it months ahead of launch because that would sliw sales massively. Announcement to release will be a month max, probably (hopefully) less.
