- PS4 Neo sells because it's the "PS Hype", previous PS4 owners will upgrade, and newcomers will straight buy the newer, better model if they have the money.

I am anticipating a bundle with Destiny's new expansion in Sept (blindly assuming it will be available then even with no e3 showing) and will be upgrading from my current first run PS4 if they do so.

Well, there are still the Gamescom and the Paris Games Week where Sony could make big announcements.
Or it'll be a specific event, like for the PS4 reveal

Just because you have an opinion doesn't mean you are necessarily right.

Looks like ZhugeEX did some conjecture on Twitter from my data. He's correct: both Quantum Break and Star Fox Zero had very poor second months relative to expectations.

Quantum Break still hasn't hit 200K in packaged software sales, and Star Fox Zero *wasn't even the best-selling Nintendo title of the month*...and the best-selling Nintendo title (Pokken Tournament) sold less than 35K.....absolutely pathetic for those two new releases.

Not conjecture on that 1st one ;)

Hey Aqua, thanks for the numbers again, it's very nice to have this data, you're a kind person.

Just to clarify one thing, when you post a number including bundle, means everything (video games SKUs, PC SKUs and HW bundle), and when you post a software number is just about the video games SKUs (unless you mention PC like in Overwatch).

Is this the standard about the data you share?

Doesn't Zhuge have access to NPD data?

Not directly, but he gets tidbits from some friends who do.

Yup. To clarify, I don't have access to NPD data directly but some months I'm able to get the official PR and Top 10 before public release and also some tidbits from people who do have access.

Hence why some months I may post loads and other months I barely post anything at all.

Do Cosmic, Cream, and John Harker have access to data directly or is it a similar situation to yours?

Also another interesting thing ZhugeEX said:

"New software released in May made up 51% of total software sales."

This is emblematic of the current state of the retail industry. Everything at retail is focused on the latest and greatest....catalog sales continue to weaken as the years go by.

This isn't good news for companies like Nintendo who base their entire business plan around building a catalog that sells-through throughout the entire generation.

But about Pokkén, does <35k mean is over 30k?

...Or is just "under 35k" ?
