This artwork is awesome and confirms (for the 372864836 time) that the main tunic is the blue one with the hood. Have I said how awesome is the new main outfit? I love it.

I don't think it'll be the main tunic for the entire game though. I think I postulated a couple of months ago that this game might take place in a time where the Hero's tunic doesn't exist yet or maybe they just aren't showing Link with the hero's tunic just yet. Either is fair game I think.

I mean, I could see it being a prequel to Skyward sword that follows the destruction of the earliest realms.  A tragic ending with only a glimmer of hope when Skyloft is raised could be cool.

But I'm thinking the tunic will be the end game, final outfit.  I'm thinking there will be no hero at this time and only at the very end will you become the hero and then gain the tunic.  Perhaps after you sacrifice yourself to save someone or something.  I'm basically saying it will be a more full realization of the Wind Waker concept of becoming the hero as opposed to being the hero.

I agree. That would allow more story progression and would overall prove for a great experience. God I can't wait for this game!

If they release a demo I will be very tempted, but I don't want to see anything of the game until it releases, so it would be really hard to maintain myself fresh until then.

Also, Link looks very feminine.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

If it's a prequel to SS we likely won't see the usual tunic as that was the uniform of the Sky Knights hence why every incarnation of Link after SS had a variant of it. It may also be possible that it is the tunic this Link is wearing but has taken more different appearance to suit this incarnation more as he may be a different kind of hero to the other incarnations with him being more hunter like with a strong focus on archery rather than sword play, he may be from the Sheikah tribe given the book/stone tablet like item he has and the artwork of the Sheikah symbol on the main site.

Really makes him feel like Assassian Creed Link. Hope Epona doesn't have bad controls.

I think Aonuma talked about how he likes how AC character looks because hood, that's why they made Link here also have hood.

Epona controls will probably be good, we know that she will automatic avoid trees in order not to hit them, like Aounuma said: "real horses don't run into trees very often". :)

I agree with both of you, story like that would be very good.
