Microsoft needs to realize that not everyone wants to just RENT movies. (digital or hardcopies), People actually want to KEEP it.

Unless Microsoft can do 15 dollars HD-movie download with no DRM and no expiring date, I'm sticking with hard-copies.

I agree I hate to rent but storage of 3'000 movies takes up a lot of space. I am persoanlly rooting for i-tunes since I can own and put it on a hard-drive. Of course owning a ton of there crap also helps.

In theory you dont have to store them, as you can redownload anything you buy on the XBLM, and as internet speeds get faster and faster you may be able to stream them before long.

Around the Network

Didn't MS, the movie industry and the whole world say and know all along that MS wants and will develop online distribution?
Like Michael Bay said; they never intended to support any HD format, it would not benefit them longterm I think.

Almost every single ISP has a bandwidth limit and you pay crazy amounts if you break it, you can't go around downloading tons of HD movies. I have a 60GB limit and i have used over 50gb in a month and that includes no HD movies.

My ISP(plus.net) doesn't include iPlayer, 4od and things like that in its monthly limits, so its possible that they may include VOD services like XBLM in the future.
