So apparently Psyonix will be releasing the 2 legacy cars, well known and loved from the original game as part of the Collector's edition, which releases on June 24th.

The kicker is that everyone who already owns the game, i.e. everyone who actually cares about these cars, is only going to get the DLC separately from from July 18th!

That means that the people who actually supported Psyonix from the beginning are locked out to get their favorite cars for a whole 24 days. Great move Psyonix, you greedy bastards.

Do they publish their own games? If not it's probably the publishers decision.

Not sure why they would do this though. Do they think some people will buy the game again to get the dlc early?

Self published and people will buy it just to play with them earlier. If there was a PC version of the Collector's Edition they would sell a lot more.

Trading this in immediately. Oh wait....

Yeah that's pretty shit then.

24 days wait for a couple of cars... I don't really see the issue lol...

Its to entice people to buy the full game. Just like how you have to buy CoD 2016 to get CoD 2007 Remastered. At launch, anyway.

A large bulk of their customers didn't pay for their game, the DLC is only $2 a pop, and unlike Activision, they're being open about future dates for the DLC to be standalone.

I don't see any issue with this.

Wait. Is this a joke thread? If so, it should probably be locked. Seems to be baiting.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

The issue is that they're already rolling in dough. To get 2 cars new buyers haven't even heard of is not an incentive to buy the retail version. It's specifically designed to snub existing players.

The equivalent would be releasing COD without the remaster and 2 months later realeasing the remaster but only of you buy the whole game again.

Just me or should those 2 cars be banned from competitive play until they are available to everyone?? Can you imagine an esport that's p2w?? O_0
