I stand corrected, it won't happen this month, but it could happen in the next month (X1 over PS4 in NPD), but this month we could still have console in front not being the NPD winner... next month if the X1S slow down it can be behind PS4 on Amazon but end up ahead on NPD, so it'll be very fun time ahead.

I think that the Xbox Slim will only  release in September's NPD (The release date is 31 of Agust), if this is the case we will only see the Xbox Slim's numbers  in October.

Vita came and gone so quick

Anyway, PS4 is above again already XP

Regarding the people jumping the gun too quick here, there will be a price cut this year, but it has nothing to do with whatever MS is doing, just like last year, it'll do it because it's the time to do it, to make the PSVR an easier buy, as you need a PS4 to use a PSVR, cutting the price will make buying the PSVR cheaper just as well (for non onwers).

The price cut will be a strategic move, not a react move, Sony doesn't have the slightest need to react to the XBO anymore, they didn't even when it actually went crazy during holydays 2014 after the "temporary" price cut.

How good is to hear something sensible from inteligent people

Holy fudge..... The PS4 500g model, overtook the new Xbox One Slim.

Yep... perhaps even Slim won't make Xbox stand out much

So there is a chance PS4Neo and PSVR end up overshadowing it close after release... and MS as always showing things too early

There's only one model, the most expensive one, available for preorder, and is two months away from launching, how much time do you expect Xbox S to be on top?

Yea I don't know exact dates but September is a 5 week month so  will very likely include last couple of days in August with it so we won't see Xbox One S until the September NPD.

The 500GB and 1TB SKUs are also available for preorder. However, they aren't charting in the Top 100 despite their lower price tags.

Seems logical if these models are being moved by people looking to upgrade. People who are newly entering the market are very price sensitive (hence why the 500 GB models push the most sales, and ASP is close to minimum MSRP). Those on other platforms (PS4,PC) are not particularly likely to move to adept the console as primary platfom, so they would not need a highrt capacity drive for the exclusive library.

I feel we are sorely lacking signs to indicate these are new consumers while we do have suggestions these are repeat purchases. Obviously it's still early days.

With retail liquidating stock, Amazon might become a terrible indicator in the short term until the Slim's release.

Yeah, with a launch date on 30 Dec... Lets see where they chart when have a real launch date.

I don't know why Microsoft will not release the 2 at the same time.

Which is obviously a placeholder date. Also, one of the lower capacity SKUs was actually in the Top 100 last week, but it quickly fell out.
