In the end the XB1 slim is nothing but a smaller XB1 with additional power (which is apparently such a small difference that Microsoft doesn't even advertise it) and UHD for $300 (500GB) WITHOUT A GAME. If you wanna get just 1 new full priced ($60) game you actually have to pay more than the current XB1 SKUs out there. You can go to Xbox.com right now and order a 500GB XB1 with Quantum Break and Alan Wake for $300. You can also go to Amazon right now and get a 1TB XB1 with Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Rare Replay and Ori for $300. That's an extra 500GB of storage and 3 games at no extra cost.

Sorry, it's just that your suggestion comes off as a bit...well, unrealistic. Saying that the company that has outsold the other consistently should drop their price by $150 because of a few hours of losing on Amazon is awfully drastic, so I couldn't quite tell if you were being serious or not.

I don't know. Considering the chart positions, the response seems to be positive. I could see MS offering some trade-in deals at GS that could help boost the numbers. I mean, it is a smaller Xbox that plays better video and adds extra fidelity. Scorpio is a long ways off, I think some will bite. We'll see if it holds though.

Gamestop already has trade in deals I think. Something like $100 off the purchase towards any other system if you trade in X1 or PS4.
