Looks like MS is already doing a big push for the slim. I'm seeing ads for it everywhere. So I expect Xbox One to get a second wind, especially off rebuys.

Good start for the XB1 S, but it remains to be seen if it can sell outside of the launch month.

I don't think that people will rebuy it, they announced the Xbox Scorpio for holidays 2017 so it does not make sense to purchase a slim version of the console now (after you already own the normal version), and purchase the Scorpio  1 year after it.

I don't know. Considering the chart positions, the response seems to be positive. I could see MS offering some trade-in deals at GS that could help boost the numbers. I mean, it is a smaller Xbox that plays better video and adds extra fidelity. Scorpio is a long ways off, I think some will bite. We'll see if it holds though.

I don't think that it can turn things around when the PS4 already out-sell the Xbox One  by a good margin on the USA.

But I think that it can make Microsoft win some NPD.

sony must cut ps4 price to 199 if they want to compete with x1slim
