While I personally didn't agree with the idea that had become more regular that it's okay to generalize and say absolutely anything about all white people, as I thought we should all be trying to unite to defeat those types of attitudes against anyone and having it be a situation where it's okay to do it about one wasn't really gonna help, what you said isn't true when it comes to african americans no longer being oppressed, nor is there more racism towards white people than them.
Edit: I'm editing this to rewrite this comment to better accurately portray what I wanted to say at the time as it was previously very poorly written.

It does seem that way. They get away with saying anything.
disgusting that they are getting away with this. That Gorilla did nothing wrong and was slaughtered. These parents should pay for that with jail, because their negligence is what lead to that Gorillas murder.

This.

What bothers me is her attitude about it. If she said "I fucked up and feel horrible about it" fine... but no.
That being said, why is it possible for a kid to get into a gorilla habitat? Especially a 4 year old kid who likely isn't a world class hurdler or something.

The kid is probably a really good climber and his mom obviously wasn't watching him or close enough to stop him. I read in a different article that the parents are being investigated by police over this.

Racist people suck in general, white, black, brown, yellow, whatever, if you can't view yourself and others as human beings and only can think in racial paradigms you're going to live a sad life, it also probably in general indicates a lack of higher intelligence because you can't process people as individuals, you need the crux of profiling them based on race to make things simpler for your brain.
As for the parents, they should be investigated but only investigated to see if there's a broader neglect to the children there, otherwise people need to give it a break with putting them on trial.
My parents loved me growing up, but were they watching me every second of my childhood? Hell no, no parent can, and I got into plenty of trouble now and again and certain situations looking back on it could have been dangerous. I'm pretty sure most kids would say that.

HELL NO, a Gorilla died. Someone has to pay. We saved that kids life, she needs to pay up by spending hers in prison. That's the fair exchange.

I see stuff like this and thank my parents for not choosing USA. Hopefully it's a vocal minority.
