If they remaster the Metroid Prime Trilogy, they should leave the motion controls, give us the choice of controls. Without a wiimote I can't play any Metroid game.

I'm with you. Bury that wiimote 6 feet below and hand me a pro controller.

Thank you. I knew someone would agree.

Would you say the same about for example Overwatch on console, or is there something in particular about Metroid Prime's controls that makes it more difficult to play without a wiimote? |
I can't play a FPS or any shooter with a controller. I either need mouse and keyboard (the optimal solution) or a wiimote and nunchuck. Plus, Metroid's motion controlls work surprisingly well, I played both CoD 3 and Goldeneye on my Wii with motion controls, and those were awful, but Metroid's are really seamless.

For my part, it's Metroid Prime specifically. Being able to aim precisely while moving without constantly turning is very handy. Metroid Prime encourages you to look around to aim and scan. The Wiimote makes that much easier. I mean, let's just be real here: the original Prime's control scheme wasn't exactly the smoothest.
I would love it if Nintendo did a remaster of the three Metroid Prime games with proper widescreen (none of this stretched nonsense). But I think reverting back to analog controls would be a mistake. The motions controls in Corruption are great.

Would be easy AND keep the fans happy, plus having the engine already ported to the NX allows them to make more Prime games easily.
Just have both controls. I bet more people except the hardcore fans would use dual analog. Dual analog has been the best controller addition since the ps1. Dreamcast being the only console I can think of that didn't use dual analog after ps1s dualshock.
