It shares more similarities with Brutal Doom than Doom but it's a fun and solid game.

It's 9/10 for me. I really enjoy both the single player and multiplayer. Fast paced and brutal as hell.

looks fun to me but i'm only going to get it for the single player so i'll hold out until the price drops. once it is around $20 i'll buy it.
Still haven't played it, but my initial and lasting impression is that it's not for me. It has basically all the elements I don't want in a shooter, a bunch of constant animations prompted by one button press, pace before substance, seemingly low difficulty and zero tactical thinking required.
For what it is, it looks great though, so from an objective standpoint it probably deserves a pretty good score if it's as entertaining as most have said.
86 is about right. The game is fun as hell, and one of the most refreshing shooters in its utter disregard of the modern standards that have cropped up around modern shooters, with their two gun limits and regenerating health. It's basically Mad Max in shooter form.
That said, as fun as it is, it isn't perfect, which is why the 86 is spot-on. There are too many platforming elements, the map layout can be somewhat confusing, the game sometimes feels a little more Quake-ish than Doom (though it's getting progressively more Doom-like the more I play) and the MP is just ok. It's a great game, though, one I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for fast-paced action.
It's exactly what makes Doom, and FPS games period, great: it's straight forward and tons of fun.

I have mixed feelings about the score. On one hand, I'm happy that an oldish-school shooter is getting a lot of love and attention, and I'm glad such a prestigious IP will live on.
On the other hand, I think that score is about 10 points too high. The single-player campaign in Doom is solid, but it's marred somewhat by a slow start, derivative story, and long loading times. Multiplayer is mostly forgettable. SnapMap is pretty darn cool, though :)
I'd give it *** out of ****.
