I've been sitting on some Titanfall 2 information that was shared with me, and I've finally got the go ahead to post.
Titanfall 2 will release in October and the Mountain dew leak is indeed legitimate. They've added a ton of new pilot abilities including the addition of a grappling hook. My source said you can use it quite extensively, for getting into your Titan, aiding free-running, or tactical plays such as pulling enemies while they're midair. The pre-order bonus will be a handgun called the Violator. Multiplayer maps are bigger which I can assume they upped the player count to go along with them.
The left side of this will be the box art.

Hmm October is Gears 4 and BF1. Titanfall won't stand a chance. If they delay it ill get it but October is a bad time.

I can think of a reason for it being on either:

XB1 because that's were the series was originated and so it's likely to find a well established audience
PS4 because it already has an established audience on the XB and so promoting it to PS4 owners would widen it's appeal

Bonus reason:

Whoever pays the most.

For me, it would make sense for it to have a marketing deal with Sony but my bonus reason could change that. Showing faith in an install base that's twice the size is the smart thing to do.

Yes, I was thinking EA might want to balance between the two consoles but then I remembered Activision has both COD and Destiny with Sony, so it might not be such a big consideration. Then considering how close EA and MS are.... anything could happen with a bit of cash changing hands. You're absolutely right!

The recent apology from EA concerning the marketing deal with MS could be an indication they may not want to have to appologise twice. That's one of the reasons I'm leaning towards a Sony deal. Not an apology per se but certainly a sign of possible problems because of it:

I think they would get more flack for making a deal with Sony as the Xbox community really launched and maintained the TF brand. I know it's just one game, but it won't look good. I can imagine MS signed a double deal to market both TF2 and BF1, considering Sony has the 2 biggest FPS franchises with COD and Destiny.

Anyone know what AAA exclusives are coming out qtr 3 for X1 and PS4? It will be interesting to see how many exclusives will go up against AAA 3Rd party games.
