Forums - Nintendo - The main problem with the Wii U Gamepad

My only problem as a consumer is the fact that it doesn't get used as often nor does it get used in new or engaging ways as promised. But what else can you do with a Game Controller disguised as a software-less smartphone.

My biggest complaint was the use of digital triggers, its criminal. Also wish the screen was sharper, it always felt a little blurry and washed out.

Can you please explain what you mean by 'digital triggers?'

The triggers are just like the other buttons. Not like they were on the GC for example.

I don't really have a focusing problem, but that does mean I have to sit a bit closer to the TV for some games (namely Splatoon)

Battery life is my main issue with it and it's not very portable

Ah. I've seen other people say this as well. I honestly don't understand that complaint. To me, they are still able to be used in the exact same way traditional triggers would be. I actually never even thought about it until I read people say they didn't like them.
