Lol is this a surprise to anyone? It is Activision. Locking the re-master behind a premium edition is merely not enough for them, they have to go one step further.

Imo what hurt the series is the yearly releases as it's rinsed the approach faster than it should have, it would be better if they had an approach where they release one game for a few years with a good amount of DLC giving them time to build on ideas and such for the next game. I think COD has ran into the problem that hit platformers in the mid 90s where the market is too oversaturated by it.

I havent played a COD game since MW3, but IW looks the same as the other ones imo. Just with space combat...

it could have been every other year. and they would be ok. Hell just get rid of IW at this point.

to be fair they werent universally hated either. I liked both of them, but thats just me. But im not expecting anything mindblowing either.

Fresh off hearing this rumour we decided to do a bit of digging ourselves and when we looked on Activision’s official website we noticed this in the support section.

 

 

You could translate the answer as meaning you can’t get Modern Warfare without owning Infinite Warfare however the FAQ clearly says ‘play’.

It’s worrying times for Activision, especially after the negative reaction they got off the back of the Infinite Warfare trailer release and the issues with supply drops in Black Ops 3. Lets hope this is indeed just speculation. We will keep you updated.

Okay so this could be taken two ways:
They are on the same disc.... or
Modern Warfare is included as a digital code. .

It kinda sounds like it means currently buying the new COD game is the only means to get the remastered version, and not necessarily it requires the game to play it. Either way, it would suck if this rumor was true.

There is no rumour here. Just poor journalism. And ppl not bothering to read.
