Yesterday, during chapter 4-3, I stumbled upon Stefan who had a conversation with Micaiah. The neat thing was that he had the Vague Katti sword with him. Afterwards I checked at some Radiant Dawn FAQs and realised how lucky I was as only when Micaiah stops at a certain square he appears. I remember in PoR he was recruitable as well, but I always stumbled on him with the wrong units and he wasn´t recruited, but he gave his Vague Katti as a gift at least.

Stefan is pretty useless IMO. Much like Volke, he comes far too late to be useful and anyone raised from much earlier is likely to have better stats than him at the same levels. The sword is likely all he's good for.

I like getting all characters in every FE though. And you have to admit it that getting Stefan on your 1st playthrough without having the slightest idea he would be there is really sheer luck

Volke is though, much more useful than Sothe. He is a killer with his baselard.

The portraits of FE DS are really detailed. The overmap and battle map is also really good comparing it to the gba FE. The unit sprites are a disappointing as I hoped for more  detail, but its FE so no big deal.

Vague Katti is nice, but only if you plan on taking more than 1 sword bearer (besides Ike) into the finals. Otherwise BK's sword is vastly superior. I gave Mia that one and it rocked.

Stefan is under statted. All swordmen should be better when you find him.

Alondite is neat but since you can't get it blessed, its usefulness is slightly limited.

You can bless Alondite. I used Alondite, Ragnell and Vague Katti in the ending. I gave Alondite to Mia and Vague Katti to Ike´s sister. Since Vague Katti has higher attack than the other 2, I had Ike trade with his sister the Vague Katti in order to deal more damage to the end boss.

No you can't.  You get Alondite after completing Chapter 4 - Final 2 which is after the blessing.

I remember I blessed mine. You beat Burger King then Yune blesses your weapons and aftewards you fight D. King.

I just checked it as well on my endgame save. I can take a pic of Mia with her blue Alondite if you want. Maybe, you played a different version than mine.

Hmmm okay.  I thought the blessing came before entering the tower for some reason.  If you blessed yours then I must just be confused.

I think zack is right, you beat BK in finals 2, the blessing is before finals 4.

Ah okay.

Quick question for you FE fans - I just finished chapter one but in the last fight I lost Laura (healer).  I've continued on into chapter two which is - as you know - all different characters now so it hasn't mattered - yet.

I assume the game will return to Micaiah at some point - will I miss Laura?  Should I redo that battle (and the following two now) or am I well enough just leaving her dead??

I realize my person way of playing has a lot to do with it and I'm torn on if I care but she does come in handy - at times.

Will another healer come along?  Or would I be forced to go without going forward?
