I was just so jaded from the Laguz I loved and enjoyed playing with in PoR sucking so bad in RD that I really shyed away from them in this game except for the bird tribes.

Ditto.  I didn't bother with Laguz except on the maps they were already there or the Finals since you finally get all the Royalty together.  They level too slowly and the transformations don't last nearly long enough.

I really agree that the Laguz were much worse in RD than in PoR. In PoR I usually had Mordecai, Lethe or Muarim in my party. Often even 2 beast tribes, because they were awesome despite their stat growth.

In RD they don't tranform in turns but with the stupid meter, which makes em near useless. I tried giving the Wildheart skill to Mordecai, but then he became useless due to every stat halving.

Really sad. (I sense discrimination towards Laguz in this game).

Hey Benga, for Heather you did notice the difference between knives and daggers right?

It seems like they tried to supplement the crappy laguz meter by giving you an overabundance of Olivi Grass and Laguz Stones, but like you said its really not worth trying to level them up. Its sooo much EXP to gain just one measly level when a Beorc character could easily gain 3-4 levels with the same amount (depending on their level and promoted status of course). Its almost a waste of EXP to actually try and make them more useful.

This is a little off topic but are you guys interested in the Fire Emblem remake coming out for the DS. Apparently they are adding some sort of Wi-Fi battling system where you can fight other people with your ingame characters. Im not really interested in the online but im really psyched for the game. I spend most of my time at work on the computer or my DS and im pretty board with my current DS games. Im really looking forward to a good long game that I can replay to kill some time while on shift.

Yeah, the laguz are quite bad. Lethe, Muariam, and Mordecai were always on my team in PoR, and they lead the offensive for me. In RD, I hate having them out. In 2-9 I think, when your surrounded by the enemy outside your castle (you have to defend for 15 turns and kill the boss) I just kept them standing the whole time, protecting Elincia. I never moved them, since they suck so harsh. In PoR they could take 3-5 hits without dying, but here in RD, they take so much damage from any hit. They do have the ability to strike back though, when not transformed, which is good, but not at the price that it came.

Yes, I'm super psyched for it. I've been looking for a portable FE to take with me (can't find the GBA ones). It should be good. I wonder how they'll use the touch screen-----maybe map out your movement?

Why were you protecting Elincia? She should be leading that charge striking fear into the hearts of any enemies not within range of a bow user! Heck, she finally gets Amiti for that battle which is Crimean for "Elincia is coming to kill you now."

Its funny that you mentioned that particular level and the laguz. That is the only level I actually used them on. Just plopped Mordecai in front of an entrance and never attacked. Only used olivi grass every single turn. Had nephenee and Macia whip javelins at the enemies while he just blocked the door. Elincia was very helpful for hit and runs I found and didnt need much protecting as long as you kept the archers at bay.

I dunno, I suppose I'm in the same mind-set as PoR, when I had to hide her all the time. I guess I have to change my thinking.
