Forums - Nintendo - Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn discussion thread: stats, characters etc.

So who were your top 5 most useless characters? Mine were (in order):

1. Meg - I made one attempt to use her in battle, then I used her as a Support character for others... twice.

2. Fiona - I tried to use her because imbue is cool, but I didn't want to BEXP to be on par with everyone else.

3. Ulki - I think he died in a battle and then came back... maybe? I put him in a closet and forgot about him.

4. Tauroneo - I took his weapons away the first moment I could... and never gave them back.

5. Vika - I think she killed maybe one enemy the whole game. Maybe.

Useless characters:

1. Fiona - I put her in my party after she became available, moved her 3 squares, pressed "end", got killed in 1 hit. Never to return again.

2. Meg - Want to perform attack with her, see enemy has 2x 30, hold her steady where she can't be attacked, and next round it's the same.

3. Heather - Attack, damage = 3 enemy health = 27 *hmmm, this is not gonna work*, hey they group with Ike's team - everyone's amazing - bye Heather.

4. Ulki and Janaff: "Ha cool I have birds" - arrow - *start over without birds*

5. Lethe: "Ha, she was one of my favorites in PoR, let's take her" - Hmmm, she's not very strong - Hmmmmm she doesn't gain a lot EXP - Hmmmmmmmmmm she's only Laguz form for like 3 attacks - Hmmmmmmmmmm untranformed everyone can double attack attack her.

6. BK: "Ha I can fight with BK" - "uhm, Sir Knight, was it really necessary to kill every single living thing on the battlefield without a scratch or a single EXP???"

7. Tanith + girlfriend: See birds + at that time in the game the last thing you need is a gay Pegasus knight when you have Haar destroying an entire army by itself.

EDIT: Janaff and Ulki are actually quite good. The problem is that they are very strong, don't gain much exp and still at level 30something get killed with A SINGLE arrowshot! I know: Don't put your bird in range of an archer, but it's more the principle that someone with over 50 health can be destroyed that easily.

My Top 5 most useless would have to be:

1. Meg - On Normal she was useful in one mission as a meat sheild one a couple levels but on Hard she is the first one to be left sitting on the bench when selecting characters.

2. Vika - This ones not entirely fair because I havnt given her a fair chance in either play through. By the time I tried her out it was to late in the game and I had neglected her to long. I dunno if she has potential or not.

3. Heather - Similar to Vika. Never got her chance to shine. Plus Soothe and Volke are just so kickass why would you bother??

4. Leonardo - He's just such a wuss. The other archers can each hold their own and take a few hits. This guy just needed waaaay to much babysitting to get anywhere. Hes like the male version of Meg in my opinion.

5. Laura - She just kind of fails as anything other than a healer. Both Micaiah and Mist can be freaking amazing at endgame with some attention but Laura just isnt good for anything other than getting Aran to join.

The only reason I left Fiona off the list is because shes mounted. I've used her several times to trade items between characters and run away or rescue allies and run away. I've never put a single EXP point into her but shes still been strangely useful on the battle field as a gopher.

EDIT: All the Laguz suck with the exceptions of Volug (only early on) and the bird tribes. This includes Dragons.

I like #4 that's hilarious. ^_^

You didn't like Heather and Tanith though...

I hope you're not including Laguz Royalty in that...

I never gave Tanith much thought either. I favored Marcia cause of the sweet pink hair. I disagree with the birds though. They are very helpful for things other than just fighting such as trading between players during battle, Hit and Runs to lower enemy health and have someone else finish the job and airlifting units (especially on the bridge level).

The only one I used in my first play through was Tibarn (hense why I gave bird tribes the exception). I heard that the Caineghais (sorry if I misspelt) was broken so I didnt use him on Normal mode. Ill probably end up taking him with me for the Endgame on Hard this time though as im sure ill need the help. And if you could play with Digensia (again sorry for spelling) that would rock. His stats where unreal and he regained so much HP every turn.

Haar was my bird.  If it absolutely, positively must die right now Haar makes it go away.  Marcia was my Pegasus Rider of choice though simply because she's around for so long.

Yeah, I think Caineghais could probably solo parts of the End Game Finals. His attack power could make a maxed out Ike with Ragnell cringe. Nailah was no slouch either though. Neither was Giffca (who was essentially Caineghais Lite).

I was just so jaded from the Laguz I loved and enjoyed playing with in PoR sucking so bad in RD that I really shyed away from them in this game except for the bird tribes.
