I think Nintendo doesn't want to make themed restaurants, or at least mainly, they probably want just to buy/take over on some already existing restaurants just to make revenue out of them.

Still, if they want to make a Nintendo themed restaurant I think they should make some Mom's Pasta from Earthbound or Mushroom Kingdom Salad...
