I don't get the point of this thread.

The title is why you won't buy it - but then you say that you will "wait out on buying it" - which sounds like you may get it if it is "recommended" for "newcomers".

Then you talk about how you don't care about textures of framedrops.

So you won't get it - but you might get it, and you don't care if it has issues? That is basically a "No, Maybe and yes" all in one post.

The poll seems a better use of a thread title - than the actual title.

Yeah, I agree. Honestly what was the point in making this thread? I mean if you werent going to buy it thats one thing -and if you were, thats another. But to basically say "I'm probably not going to maybe get this game I kinda like and not" kinda negates the entire thread itself. We're left with the same impression we came in with. Confused

I suppose.

You're completely free to lock it up if you'd like

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Nah, it's fine, you wanted to express yourself and so you did. I'm supportive of that. It's just, for the sake of everyone, at least stay true to the title! XD don't confuse the poor forum!

Likewise. No interest anymore. There are so many better RPG series out there, IMO.

Anyway, the series fell off HARD for me after IX. I cannot stand it. X was one of the most disappointing piles of poop that I ever played. I still kinda want to try XII, though. Maybe this summer.

Hi

I'm buying it because I think it looks amazing :D

The game will sell just fine anyway. And Im sure if it's good then it'll sway more people to purchase it.

I don't just expect a PC version but an NX one too.

You'll play it eventually, if you want.

“Simple minds have always confused great honesty with great rudeness.” - Sherlock Holmes, Elementary (2013).

"Did you guys expected some actual rational fact-based reasoning? ...you should already know I'm all about BS and fraudulence." - FunFan, VGchartz (2016)

First things first, the very nature of final fantasy is such that every mainline title is ok for newcomers. Nothing carries over. nothing at all.

And final fantasy has always changed. the game basically reinvents itself all the time.

Personally, i have never looked forward to a FF game as i do this one.

For me it doesn't matter. It is a new mainline FF game. I did the same thing for FFXIII, and I did not enjoy it at all. But that does not stop me from buying every future mainline FF game. The potential is worth the risk.

Never played a Final Fantasy before. Not even a spin off, this will be my first one and I can't fucking wait. It looks amazing.

The combat is nothing like Xenoblade. You don't have skills to use. You just auto-attack all the time and change weapons or aim a magic spell bomb. Finally you can also dodge teleport to some areas or do a dodge with invincibility frames.

Thats it. Thats all the combat is in FFXV. I played the demo, i hated the combat. It was boring as hell.

The performance dips and uneaven texture job also got me worried. So, i probably won't be risking buying this at launch. The only thing that can save it is the story. But the combat is gonna get really boring and repetitive really fast. Nowhere near the variety you can have on Xenoblade.

So... i will probably get it only after a price cut, just to give it a chance. But, i don't have big expectations.
