More like losing faith in Nintendo. Not gaming in general. But since Nintendo thought AC amiibo festival, Color Splash and Federation Force were good ideas, I am seriously doubting their awareness of what gamers want. After the E3 announcement I sold my Wii U and NX might be the first Nintendo console I will not get at launch.

Now looking forward to many exciting PS4 games and currently enjoying UC4 and DSIII.

If Nintendo never returns to the top of the console market and you leave gaming, you were never a gamer... you were just a Nintendo fanboy. Thee are great games everywhere.

Yeah. I admit I'm losing faith. I have no faith in Sony or MS. I felt really betrayed by MS when Mattrick took over and ruined even the 360 for me. PS3 was just as bad. Wii U was great for what it was, but its hard to feel like I got my value out of it. If NX is weaker than XO then I will most likely leave current console gaming behind and go retro.

Gaming is great. Certain companies are starting to erode their consumers' trust no doubt. I'm good though.

I'm not losing faith in gaming. I'm losing faith in gamERS.

MS with the stuff they tried to pull early on in this gen..... and with how often nintendo makes mistakes,...

I dont know..

Sony seems to be the only consistant and stable of the bunch.

Also not happy with how many shooters there are... compaired to all the other genres.

Never know what to expect when I open a thread authored by a banned user.

Anyway, dunno about faith, but I'm disappointed at how focused on tech, not new games, current gaming is. I understand when a new console comes out, tech talk will happen. Two comparable systems at the same time, it'll happen longer as comparisons happen. But it just keeps going this gen, fueled by talk of VR, deluxe rereleases of current consoles, etc.

I wouldn't say losing faith as for every Capcom game with locked content on disc with DLC from day 1, there is Witcher 3 or others that give you lots of content from the off. I don't like where some companies are going, all seem to have 'credit' you can buy with real money to get in game stuff, fleecing us for as much as they can. Yet I understand that game development costs have rocketed over the years. In the 90s it was £40 for a PS1 game and it was made buy 20 people. Now it's £40 for a game and it's made by 200. Selling no more.

... I dunno. I'm just kind disappointed I haven't played a FF game in so long.

Hmm, pie.

Well, in consoles. As others have said, I have a PC ready so I can bail if NX isn't my cup of tea

I have been enjoying my PS4 immensely. I just wish they would give it PS1 classics and add more PS2 games to its roster. However, I am super excited for the resurgence of JRPGs.
My 3DS and my Vita have fulfilled their respective purposes (to play Pokemon and Persona 4: Golden/Dancing All Night, respectively).
There has been a resurgence of adventure games on the PC (as well as consoles, to a lesser extent. But adventure games are supposed to be played with a mouse, you psychopaths). Furthermore, Civ VI is coming out this year. So, I am getting what I want from my PC.

So, in total, I'm not losing faith at all. Sure, there's things I would like to happen that aren't happening (Dark Cloud 3). Perhaps the biggest problem is that games take longer to make than they used to. But even with that, I think this is a great time for games -- at least from my standpoint.
