It looks really good. I might give it a try if it releases on Steam :)
My main grip, as somebody commented in this thread, is the cursor. But it's an alpha, so that's not a very problematic issue. I'd look for a more "medieval" design, for example.
Finally. my final fantasy tactics fix......

Can't speak for the devs but a project of this scale can only really shine on Steam. It looks good so it will probably pass the Grennlight battlefield.
If they can aggressively market this in various Banner Saga fan community they should succeed in publishing this on Steam.
this looks pretty look, reminds me of jeanne d'arc wich is a game i like a lot.
