Considering this game is coming close to the 3DS's end of its lifespam, this 7th gen reminds me of the gen 5. It did not have a proper remake, instead they went with a direct sequel. And I¡ve got the feeling this gen will be even shorter than gen 5. What do you think we will get? A direct sequel, a regular 3rd version or a D/P remake?

I'd rather have a sequel, to be honest. We can still play the original D/P/Pt on the 3DS, so I'd rather wait for the 8th gen on the NX for Shinnoh.

OMG Diamond and Pearl remake please. I think Diamond is my most played game ever with over 1000 hours

Edit: To be clear I don't even want Sun and Moon on 3DS let alone other Gen 7 games.

Yeah, I would have rather have Sun/Moon on the NX too. The 3DS had a good run, but the NX needs pokemon more now. Plus, the hardware is really holding the game back.

I think they want to unify their software output, and that means a handheld version of the NX. This would obviously affect the 3DS. It's a deja vu of the "the DS is just a 3rd pilar, not a replacement for the GBA".

Tbh they wont follow some obvious route. I think itll be either pokemon z (with it being semi connected tp sunmoon?) or a new gen right off the bat (2year gap)

HEHEHE ;) We agree! We will see, If the new forms and the new story of zygarde (from the xy&z anime) won'tbe  in sun and moon, ( which I feel that will not, I can't see how it fits there, unless they do the kalos-alola like jhoto-kanto thing that was in gold/silver),  Z must be still coming!

I can't fathom that Ninty will leave a third pokemon in a legendary trio or a series without third version for the first time... It would be frustrating, come on, there is a whole new story about Zyrgade... However, third versions always preceding new gen versions/ and mostly new gen in next gen hardware....

3ds successor must be imminent (if isn't NX), will they release the third version/sequel  of a 3ds series in its successor and after new gen which is being on 3ds? Paradoxical but I hope so!

Has it already been that long since Diamond/Pearl? Damn, I feel old now.
