When it came out in 2006 I still had a 17 inch CRT monitor and my PC was struggling with Blood Money on medium settings.

I liked the intro mission but the first real mission in Chile felt too overwhelming for me at the time, in the 'wine' cellars I felt like navigating in a maze and quit for a few months. 

In 2009 I built a new PC that ran Blood Money on max with silky smooth 60 fps on my 22 inch widescreen LCD and I could finally experience Blood Money like it was supposed.

In 2012 after discovering the king of home consoles PS2 I played that version two or three times, I don't know what witchcraft they used to make it look and work so good on PS2. In 2014 I got the HD trilogy for PS3 and played it again for a few times and platinumed it.

It is my top 10 game regardless platform. My favorite levels are A New Life and A Dance with the Devil - I can't get enough of that level and I believe it is one of the best level designs in gaming ever.

Blood Money was so genious it made the previous Hitman instalments look like bad games which they are not. Too bad Absolution was a letdown with its instinct mechanic and focus on story and action.

Wow, 10 years already?. It seems like it was such a short time ago when I beat it for the first time on the PS2.

I played the Hitman games in order from the first one and I remember that Blood Money gave me a completely different feel. I used to clumsily try to beat every level on the previous games, regardless of my score, for the most part, and I was satisfied with just doing an average score since the controls felt so clunky and the conditions to not be detected were just annoying as hell.

Blood Money may have been my first time with a Stealth video game where I felt like I could do it, I could strive for perfection. You CAN get Silent Assassin. It's difficult and may require a lot of patience but the game is incredibly fair and as long as you give yourself time to learn the intricacies of every mission, you can do it.

My fondest memories with the game are: 

The mission in Chile, I remember standing behind the old man playing the cello (or maybe violin?, don't remember) with the piano wire ready...but the music he was playing was so beautiful that I waited until he finished. Haha, it was quite magical.

The Heaven and Hell mission was so fucking refined and classy. The whole enviroment for both felt so interesting and unique. Pretending to be the target's boyfriend to kill her was also classy as hell.

The mission in the Vegas hotel (which I think is one of the best levels in stealth games, period) has a lot of options for the kills, but my favorite order is:

1. Kill the scientist in the elevator

2. Kill the buyer on the way to his room.

3. Jumping from the window of the room next to the scientist' to his room, killing the guard on the sofa, calling the middle-eastern boss on the phone that is inside the room and finally, sniping him from the window.

I could go on and on and on.

This is easily one of the best, most refined stealth games out there and no other game has made me feel like such a classy assassin.

Long live Blood Money!

Wow I didn't know this after so many years and replays - I always eliminated the boss in the casino restaurant awkwardly with a remote bomb.

Was always a little annoyed that Contracts and Blood Money didn't come out on the GC after the very good port of Hitman 2 which that console got, not sure I've actually played Blood Money ever, but from how much you seem to care about it m0ney I might give it a look sometime, I'm almost sure I have the HD collection on one of the consoles... I think it was a psn+ game a while ago for the PS3 so I have it there I think.

Haha, sniping is the coolest way for sure!. Try it out sometime if you can. Shooting the guard through the window and sniping the boss after getting him to the parking lot is classy as hell.

Looks like I have a reason for another replay or at least that mission.

I wish I could play it for the first time again, or for at most 5th time at least.

Wow, time really flies. I loved this game. My favourite mission was the one with the man in the witness protection program because it was the only one I could pull off with a perfect rating. The rest I usually ended up going guns' blazing. I was sad when Absolution was more linear and didn't have as much breathing room as this one. Is the new Hitma more like Blood Money or like Absolution? I'm planning to check it out after it's complete.

I think it's more like Blood Money but I keep my expectation low cos I read that the core developers of Blood Money left the company shortly after Blood Money, hence Absolution was so bad as a Hitman game.
