Forums - Nintendo - Shouldn't we be getting more news about incoming NX games?

I mean, okay, we know the thing will be released on March, and it will be officially unveiled sometime this year. I suppose Nintendo will announce their NX games at the same time as they announce the console, but what about 3rd parties? We know some companies are working on the NX already (Square Enix, Tecmo Koei...), but I think that, so far, the only confirmed game from 3rd party for the NX is Dragon Quest XI.

When are we going to start getting news about those 3rd party games on the NX? Before or after the NX announcement? Will we see another case like Watch Dogs, when the games released for everything before the WiiU version, or will those games release on the NX at the same time as the other versions?

EDIT: Another question, do you think some of the games announced at E3 will be confirmed as coming to the NX? Or will they only talk about an NX release after the unveiling?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

We hardly know about NX to begin with so I don't see how 3rd parties can really talk about games on a system that barely exists. It's up to Nintendo to spill the beans on the system first and foremost before others an hop on and start talking about their projects.

Dragon Quest XI isn't even technically "confirmed".

I think third party multiplatform games might be revealed at or around E3 from Ubisoft, EA, Activision etc...not if they have any exclusives for it though.

I'm not worried about the exclusives. If anything, the exclusives would profit from being announced at the same time as the NX, in its individual event. I'm thinking about the multiplats, they are announced for everything at the same time, so in theory we should know they are going to the NX too.

Yeah, I cant see a reason why that would be bad for Nintendo in any way.

Its hard to announce games for console when we still don't know anything about that console.

Yep, it's important to not forget this.

OT: No one will confirm any game for NX until Nintendo reveals the machine, it's that simple.

True, but the big publishers must know it by now, and announcing the NX version later is going to cause that version to be ignored. They could always say: in developement for Codename NX.

We'll get information when the unveiling event happens, look at Zelda for reference only the Wii U version is going to be shown in any form at E3 so it's clear this event is the marker for everything NX and when the floodgates open up.
