Satire is fine if it's in good taste, but this feels too tasteless for me.

Yeah it's not or everyone but he has also stated countless time he doesn't do it to offend people.

I can appreciate that he openly states that. Maybe I'll give him another shot, but my first impression wasn't that good, but who knows, maybe I can enjoy his type of humor too.

Hen of a feather. This guy is quite innocent, and he's not even serious.

Well, its all satire and he have a warning saying that it's not real hatred. Also, the people that he makes videos about on his channel ends up getting lots of subscribers.

The main problem with Leafy's "satire" is that it mostly consists of insulting how people act or look without any sort of limit which is why he has got into hot water a number of times for making fun of people who have autism.  In some ways Leafy's satire is no different then pranksters who were harassing people with the excuse of "it's just a prank, bro", at least that's how I see his content. But fact of the matter is that even if Leafy says he does not promote hate, some people in his fanbase are well known for their toxic behaviour and vitriol.

Well about the person with autism he didn't know and made a mistake. He apologized and they are now friends. And yes some of his fans might hate on people but that's not his fault because he tells them not to hate on others in every video but he can't be held liable for the actions of others especially when he advised not to.

I don't want to get into an argument, but I just want to say, how can there be people defending this guy? Sure, if you're playing devils advocate but people don't seem to be, even people on this thread. It's like you've watched a video or two...maybe three and you come away thinking he's not a bad guy, taking his "I do not promote hate" and "It's only for fun" justifications and believing they are more than just a legal disclaimer. The fact is, this guy promotes nothing but hate and if this were offline in the real world he would be done for inciting a riot...or perhaps a revolution with his new "fans"... I don't get how this happens, are people really that servile and submissive that they would see LeafyHere as an Alpha and bend to his will that they would defend his actions even though they know it's horrible and they would certainly not want it done to themselves. Its like how people watch Breaking bad and start routing for Walter even though he' a manipulative, greedy pshycopath by season three. Have some integrity people.

Its just like how people defend family guy. It's not meant to be taken seriously and he has a disclaimer on his videos not to hate on the other people because it's not meant to offend others.

Considering that Pewdiepie remains the most lucrative, popular YouTube channel, I really don't see how train wreck channels like Leafy do much to sully anyone's opinion of the YouTube community at large.

I'm not sure if that really excuses his behaviour, you'd think a guy with over 2 million subscribers who clearly knows how his fanbase acts after his "HISSS" antics on Twitch earlier in the year would know better to do some background checks on the people he roasts. Whether or not Leafy is responsible for the actions of his fans is besides the point since either way his videos and fanbase have in the past and probably will again in the future cause trouble for a number of people targeted by his videos.

Well, I do agree he should do some checks on people to make sure they don't has disabilities. Since he puts a disclaimer in all of his videos i doubt it will be as bad anyway. Leafy has also helped many channels by reacting to them.

I don't follow the people that do this in their Youtubing but if I ever ran into Leafy in person I'd be tempted to beat him senseless after he and his followers initiated cyber bullying on that autistic Youtuber.

i find shitty entertainment.

Leave it to humans to always find the worst way to take advantage of others. Such a plague on our race. It's nothing new.
