Finally a World War I FPS, I hope they don't seriously tone down the trench battles though ...

Nice, they just confirmed they're toning down the destruction this time. That's good news, BF4 had way too much destruction, by the end of an average game most of the cover was destroyed leading to spawn kills.

What?! You can't destroy almost no buildings at all. I want to see walls and whole buildnings coming down. Battlefield 4 felt very static.

You can't have enough destruction in video games. Video gaming just haven't reached that point yet.

I wouldn't say that it's being toned down.

From the Amazon page for the game -

Earth-shattering Intuitive Destruction - With intuitive destruction no battle is ever the same. Destroy vehicles big and small, and demolish entire buildings. From tiny wooden houses to massive stone forts, even the grounds on which you're fighting can be blasted apart.

That's a marketing blurb, of course they'll hype up the destruction. They just talked about it during the livestream. They said that there was too much destruction and they are working to scale it back some.

No. They said that that outsider guy felt it had too much destruction in a level at some point, and they would be looking into that. They never said it would have less than BF4. The guy from audience who asked the question asked if there would be more destruction than in past games and the answer clearly implied that.

Bolded part, 100%. IMO DICE should try to evolve Battlefield to the point where if something can be blown up in real life you can blow it up in Battlefield.

My thoughts exactly. I hope they solve that, the demands for variation, by having maps dedicated solely to trench war.

Amen! Very good argument, if it can be destroyed in real life it should be able to be destroyed here.

I can't remember the last time I played a First Person Shooter campaign than made me feel something.

It's redemption time! Please be good.

WW1! Hopefully that means Gallipoli campaign and Turks in multiplayer.

Also, how the hell am I getting hyped for a AAA FPS from EA in the year 2016?? How is this even happening?

bet: lost

Yeah, this game looks awesome.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.
