Forums - Nintendo - WiiWare Gameplay Blowout on Gametrailers

Say does Dr. Mario have online vs? That's about the only game that interests me here... and I mean I already own Dr. Mario.

It'd be nice to have a challenge and maybe actually get beat in vs mode once... I'm not sure i've ever been beaten in any of those puzzle game vs modes, that, Tetris 2, the Yoshi game with the different monsters and the yoshi eggs...

You name it.

I suck in the single player modes though... which makes my dominance in vs mode surprising. Guess it's just due to the fact that i've never really had "get the high score!" mentality.

Getting Final Fantasy hands down, decided against Pokemon Ranch now that I've seen that video, and I've now starting thinking about getting Dr. Mario (never played the original games). Star Solider R looks like a neat top-down shooter but I'll stick with Twinkle Star Sprites for the versus mode. I wasn't interested at all in Defend Your Castle since I can play it online for free but after seeing the end to that video I just might have to pick it up now, that looked insane!

Kingdom Hearts 3 Bet: If Kingdom Hearts 3 becomes a multiplaform title/is not Wii exclusive then I will be banished from this land for 1 week and sing my praises to those who have proved themselves to be more intelligent than I.http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y267/RDBRaptor/rdbraptor_sig16.jpg%5B/IMG%5D">
My Anime List

I would be really bad at Star Soldier R. I suck at those types of games.

Ping Pong looks lame.

Just watching the video of Pokemon Ranch almost put me to sleep.

I'll get Dr. Mario for sure.

Final Fantasy is a maybe.

Defend your castle doesn't look all that fun.

Star Solider Looks pretty interesting, I'd like to know the controls for it...

Guitar Hero 3/ Smash Hits

I'll buy Star Soldier, FFCC, Dr. Mario (yes it supports online multiplayer 1-4 players), Pokemon Ranch depending on what you can do (I'm a sucker for sim games), and maybe Defend Your Castle. The one I'm looking forward to the most won't launch with the service, but will still make it this year. LIT, a horror puzzle game from the Contra 4 developers.

Here's the Japanese TV Spot for Pokemon Ranch:

I'll probably buy Star Soldier and Dr. Mario. I don't know if FF:CC:MLaaK (lol huge) looks fun enough to me, even if it looks great graphically. Plus there's apparently MORE microtransactions after the original $15 for buying the game...I'll probably pass.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Star Soldier looks interesting, but then again... I like shooters.

Eh, the other Microtransactions aren't necessary. Just $1-3 for new classes, outfits, and buildings if you want them. I never buy DLC so that's not really an issue for me. If you want more info on how it actually plays read the hands on from IGN.

i like super, doc, and defend

Star Soldier R looks good to me. Love my shooters!!

Okiraku Ping Pong looks ok too. Can see this working really well with Wiimote and online.

Pokemon Ranch - I'll pass on this one. Pokemon is not my thing. Plus the graphics in this one are horrible. Look at all those jaggies.

Dr. Mario & Virus Buster will be good to with online but I've played the hell out of this game already. What new content will there be?

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as King is the best of the bunch. Not a fan of CC but this game looks better then most standard release games.

Defend Your Castle graphics style just doesn't do it for me. It looks kinda cheap.

All in all, looks like a good start to WiiWare. Hopefully when it is released we will see sales stats for all three online games services.
