I don't know either, it's baffling.

If you're downloading something, once it starts going slow(er), pause and resume the download, it speeds it up.

PSN speeds have always been awful though in my experience, even on fiber Internets.

No idea, I used to have wifi connected on my PS3, people told me that this was the issue, I now have a LAN cable connected and it's still really slow at most times, even official updates from Sony themselves.

I get 26 megabit download on PSN, so just over 3 megabytes a second downloading games. Also can people please use megabit or megabyte because it gets confusing when people use "mb" and you have no idea if they actually know which they are referring to or even if they know they are different things.

Can't tell you how many times I've come across people online with 50mbit broadband and they're getting mad because they're only downloading at 5 megabytes a second from steam.

Despite having around 5mb/s download speed and 2mb/s upload speed at home, my PS4 barely gets to more than 1mb/s download speed. And it's connected through an ethernet cable. Wi-fi performs even worse. And let's just not talk about upload speed, which can't get to 500kb/s. I can't shareplay most of the time because of it, and I don't know why that happens. :(

I also have a 60mb/s Internet and it never took me 2 hrs to download anything at least not under 8gb.How big is fire watch that it took so long?

But it's not free on the PS4 for many.. and still slow..    (Xbox One offers the same free part, and its not slow)..

The PSShop has been broken since day one on my PS4. They won't admit it though.

I can't visit the PsStore twice in the same session. It simply won't load. I found a workaround wich is to just switch profile and back to your own and then magically it works again. Its just bad.

It is very slow when it comes to updates in comparison to ps4

You have to turn off the internet and then turn it on in the networks option if this happens. The PS store was always terrible since they changed it from the purple one on the ps3
