If Nintendo had a meeting with EA, I wonder if that means they're ready to offer the same kind of support as Sony and Microsoft? Or perhaps they ran into the same deadlocks as before? The ball is really in Nintendo's court. It should be interesting to see if their attitude is the same following the Wii U as it was following the Wii.

Still, even if they are ready to do business with third-party publishers, I can't imagine Nintendo worrying too much about aligning their launch dates. It's much more likely that it has to do with waiting for first-party projects.

But seriously, unless Nintendo is really going full guns' blazing, the expected power shouldn't really be above PS4K. Ideal power being OG PS4. Anything fancier than that would become a hindrance to the console if it doesn't get 3rd party support.

But this has nothing to do with the power of the console. This is about Nintendo delaying the launch of their console and who knows if maybe also damaging their business prospects because of a single software company that happens to have zero interest in their previous machines, and I use the plural because EA hasn't worked with Wii U not the 3DS.

Yeah, that is certainly unbelievable. Considering the "unprecedented partnership" ended up as a couple of rushed games,  EA's least supported home console and handheld since the Dreamcast,  and a copule of harmful tweets, Nintendo will have as little consideration for EA as they can get away with. I hope Nintendo makes a decent sports simulator to compete with EA sports. An actual, in depth, online multiplayer, Wii Sports. Not a collection of minigames, really deep sports games.

NX was never delayed.
