If Nintendo had a meeting with EA, I wonder if that means they're ready to offer the same kind of support as Sony and Microsoft? Or perhaps they ran into the same deadlocks as before? The ball is really in Nintendo's court. It should be interesting to see if their attitude is the same following the Wii U as it was following the Wii.
Still, even if they are ready to do business with third-party publishers, I can't imagine Nintendo worrying too much about aligning their launch dates. It's much more likely that it has to do with waiting for first-party projects.
