Opening day for most teams is just days away.  Last season was pretty amazing.  Bonds got the record.  The Padres and Mets collapsed at the last second, and the Rockies pulled off an almost impossible 22-1 run from Mid-September through October.

Ouch at Baltimore. I don't keep track of baseball like I used to, but I did start following a bit more last season. Is it a widely held thought that Baltimore will be the poorest team of the year? I could have sworn I read they were making some nice off-season deals a while back.

Baltimore is probably the worst team in the AL this year...but the worst team in baseball?

That distinction will probably go to the Barry Bondless Giants.

They can pitch, but they couldn't hit a dinosaur with an SUV, let alone a ball with a bat.

Nationals in first place...

Phillies game starting soon. 

I caught the last few innings of the Nationals and Braves game last night. Even though I'm a Braves fan, that was an exciting finish. I'm so glad baseball is back now. The time between the NFL and MLB seasons is almost unbearable.

Tigers will win it all this year, you all know it.

Epic game between Pittsburgh and Atlanta over...in only 12 innings.

After rallying from down by 5 runs in the 9th inning, the Braves lose 12-11 in 12 innings. 

Looks like Glavine is carrying a bit of the amazins' fall with him to Atlanta.  

I'm all for Colorado winning it this year. We came so close last year, and after an eternity of suckitude (basically from the start of the team, there has only been a few really good seasons; the majority were meh, bad, or just pathetic), it was a really nice change to be so close to the top spot.
