Forums - Sony - Ratchet & Clank: Play The Game Or Watch The Movie First?

That's an honest question I have for Ratchet fans: what should I do first? Play the game or watch the movie?

I just bought the game and noticed it came with a free movie ticket, so I'll make sure to invite 2 or 3 friends and go to the theathers early next week. Oh, just so you know, I never played the original game on PS2, so I don't know much about the plot (just the basic). Will watching the movie first spoil the game for me?

I'm a bit confused, so I wanted to hear what you have to say guys!

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

as much as I heard the movies receptions are horrible.

Non the less i think watching a (good) movie does hype somebody ALOT to play a game. After watching Star Wars 7 i needed battlefront, even with its low content...^^

Yeah, but I'm curious if watching the movie before finishing the game will give me (endgame) spoilers. :c

Play the game it is ten times better to start with. I would watch the movie later if it where any good, but it obviously isn't. Even gamesites like psx-sense.nl think it is crappy.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Erm, play the game m, that's out now the movie isn't.

Well movie doesn't release in Australia for 3 months so i couldnt tell you. The game though is great from rhe first hour I've experienced, i actually put down dark souls 3 to play this.

If you grew up with the game then play the game, if you didn't then probably watch the movie.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

I am going to write a review about this (both the movie and the game). I feel something has to be said. I will try to make it as spoiler free as possible.

The game and movie are both available in the US. I just got out of the theater.

Done a slightly similar thing, I cancelled my dark souls 3 preorder to get this instead, don't regret it either. I'm on the last planet now and I've enjoyed it, however I don't think it's as good as Tools Of Destruction and its mini follow up sequel Quest for Booty.
