71 now on Metacritic. Seems legit, 70-80 is more or less the expected. Not a bad score, though now everything which is less than 80 is considered a bad game lol

Is this Call of Duty's fault as well? It usually is.

I think I don't follow you...

I thought reviewers would ignore the length and focus on the gameplay and mechanics. Starfox Zero = The Orderr 1886?

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

"Star Fox Zero is obvious in its pitch -- "Did you like Star Fox 64? Okay, then you'll love this!" It's weird because that adherence to tradition is probably the best part of Zero, yet it's mired by some of the ill-fated new additions."

"Nintendo’s homage to Star Wars returns, as the creators of Mario and Bayonetta collaborate on the Wii U’s new sci-fi shooter."

In Short: The sort of expertly orchestrated action you’d expect from a team-up between Nintendo and Platinum, but the lack of innovation is a little disappointing.

Pros: Finely honed third and first person action, with a wide range of vehicles that are a pleasure to control. Co-op options are a neat addition. Some great bosses and wonderfully cheesy dialogue.

Cons: The gameplay, and large parts of the stage design, are almost identical to the original games. Multi-view display adds very little and there’s a relative paucity of content.

The Order reviews were even more divisive! Haha. I understand that SF:Zero "length" will vary a lot between gamers, and the arcade game design is not for everybody.

Wow, they really don't know who did Bayonetta...

But PlatniumGames did make Bayonetta and they basically were half of the dev team for this game...

"With a focus on replayability, unlockable content, discovering alternate paths, and pushing for higher scores, fans of the SNES original and Star Fox 64 will find that the game has everything they love about the franchise and plenty more."

"Star Fox Zero has much of the great franchise mechanics and a good aim system. However, technical issues and some problems with the targeting system are unsatisfactory."
