Did a mod really change the title of the thread? I guess it was so urgent that another hour or so of waiting before I got online was unbearable.

Regardless, I changed the GR score in the title (since that wasn't done as well, for whatever reason). Everyone feel free to post 3 identical comments in a row if it happens to change again.

It changed again bro:

META: 70

GR: 69.49%

I'm usuallly a big fan of Jim but this Star Fox review seems very poor and is just a rant about controls and not a real review.

I've played through the different trainings and the first 3 levels, around 1 & 1/2 - 2 hours, and for now I can say this is at least an 8.5/10 for me. I was worried about the controlls after all the critics and cursing but, after playing it by myself, I've realized that most of the negative comments are just plain ignorance or lack of interest. You can choose between many different schemes of control (aiming only with motion controlls, only with the joystick or mixing both, constantly switching your view between the TV and the Gamepad Screen or focusing only in one of them, etc.) and it is easy to get used and master any of them. If you're a fan of Starfox I think this improves Starfox 64 (more varied stages, the story is better presented and integrated into the gameplay, controlls provide a deeper experience, levels have more secrets and bonuses so more replayability, etc.). If you haven't played previous Starfox games, this is a cinematic, frenetic experience full of action and spectacle: pure joy. In both cases, do not hessitate to try it: videos and reviews do not make it justice  ;)

Platinum does it again - another sub-par game.

I agree, but you're still too little into the game to say it's an improvement from Star Fox 64. I'm sure you'll love it a lot on your first playthrough, but it is disappointing when you come back for more after that and find that there isn't much left to do, never mind actually interesting stuff to do.

Do you think so? I invested dozens of hours in the Nintendo 64 title and the replayability came mostly from mastering the levels (getting all the rings, destroying all the enemies, etc.) to earn medals and opening alternative paths (multiplayer wasn't really that good). For what I've seen, it's the same here: you go back to the levels to do better than in your first visits and to find the alternative routes to other planets or sections (by completing certain requierements). Isn't that the same Starfox 64 offered?

Could someone tell me how a review made by a youtuber is supposed to count on Metacritic ?

Making youtube videos doesn't make him a youtuber. IGN and Gamespot do youtube videos too. His review is here http://www.thejimquisition.com/star-fox-zero-review/ not youtube

Ok. I never knew about that tough ... I thought he was only known for his YouTube video ...

Oh, no, he makes written reviews too. And he's a really awesome reviewer if you ask me. I might not agree with him in this particular review, but he's the best reviewer out there imo.

He is very respected among the gaming journalists, and also known to not be a sell out.

Whether anyone agrees with the review or not, he is a legit reviewer.

P.D. Apparently the Thread Creator is M.I.A., so i ask a Mod to please change the Thread Title with the updated scores.

Thanks!

Now down to 69, because of Jimquisition review 2/10 it seems
