Yeah I think I am going to fish up quarter by quarter results of Xbox live numbers. Not sure a drop has happened before. Will find out soon.

Xbox One Hardware unit sales were up for the 9 months ending March 31st 2016 compared to the 9 months ending March 31st 2015.

While I was fishing I found this.
FY15 Q2    Xbox console sales totaled 6.6 million units, with strong holiday season performance
FY15 Q4 Xbox Platform revenue increased $86 million or 10%, driven by higher volumes of consoles sold, offset in part by lower prices of Xbox Ones sold. We sold 1.4 million consoles in the fourth quarter compared to 1.1 million consoles during the prior year.

October-December 2013 XB1+360 7.4m XB1 3.9m

Jan-March 2014 XB1+360 2m XB1 1.2m

So April-June 2014 XB1+360 1.1m

July-September 2014 XB1+360 2.4m

October-December 2014 XB1+360 6.6m

April-June 2015 XB1+360 1.4m

So we did get some numbers for awhile.

At least 12m XB1 shipped from this imo so only needs 7m to meet projected 19m at end of 2015.

Phone revenue dropping by 46% is pretty bad considering the Lumia 950, 950XL and 650 were released in the quarter. Surface is seeing good growth though, and MS is still cranking out the profits.

Nice, though as we don't know the numbers we can't tell if its good or not

If Gold subscriptions are up YoY compared to same quarter of 2015, but are down between quarters of 2016, of course there are up and downs in the number of gold suscribers. duh

No surprise. 2 of the 3 you listed are premium windows phones, those always sold like crap. Whatever chance those 2 flagships had at success, it was quickly destroyed by the harsh reviews they received.

Microsoft had some success with its low-end devices but that market belongs only to Android now. So here we are.

So to my surprise numbers did drop quite a bit after XB1 launch and then started to increase rapidly again. Now at a small 2m decrease this quarter.

Xbox live members:

Feb 2010: 23m

March 2013: 46m (+18% yoy)

MAU:

FY Q1: 30m

FY15 Q2: 37m
FY15 Q3: 37m
FY15 Q4: 37m
FY16 Q1: 39m (up 28%)
FY16 Q2: 48m
FY16 Q3: 46m

The question will be if they keep dropping as 360 owners move to PS4 instead of Xone.
