Hello VGChartz, just a simple question for you all, what are your favorite characters from cartoons, old and new? (EXCLUDING ANIME)
There are three cartoon characters in particular that really stick to me:
Courage the Cowardly Dog
One of the first shows I've watched on Cartoon Network, and man I sure did love this guy. Courage was a lovable dog who, despite being named Courage, is quite a coward, but despite this, he still goes through the daily task of saving his owners from some of the freakiest monsters and... well, freaks that seem to come out of nowhere. Courage ends up going through rather crazy adventures, while at the same time, going through a lot of experiences that truly show his value as a character, such as saving a lesbian rabbit from an abusive relationship, confronting the cause of his lost parents, and even realizing the fact that nobody in this world is perfect.
Twilight Sparkle - My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
Twilight was just a student who preferred to stay alone, and only focused on studying everyday at the library. It wasn't until her mentor, Celestia, told her to actually go out and make some friends. This leads to a series of adventures where Twilight slowly starts to realize how valuable friendship can be. Along the way, Twilight ends up having to face many odd challenges, such as a queen who wants to enslave her brother, an old king who wants to take over an ancient empire, and even an imprisoned centaur who is able to absorb others' magic, and essentially become a god. WIth the assistance of her friends, Twilight is able to overcome any situation no matter how tough, and is even able to pursue her studies even further as a result, possibly making her the most powerful and intelligent character in her universe.
Ice Bear - We Bare Bears
He's a polar bear, what else do I have to say? Well besides being the best animal ever, Ice Bear is a character that is able to be both adorable and interesting. He's extremely intelligent, being able to professionally cook, engineer, and think, and despite being mostly a silent character, he's still able to get in a lot of witty lines here and there. He wouldn't even eat an adorable seal. Without Ice Bear's intelligence, Grizz and Panda would probably end up being the worst pair of brothers, stranded in the middle of nowhere. #IceBear4President.
