Is this the year when we will finally see the WiiU beat the vita? I remember people saying it would beat the vita a few months after launching. 

The Vita has put up a good fight but has the battle for last place finally ended for the handheld?  Or has it still got "life" in it yet to pull through and leave the WiiU in last place?

The latest week shows the Vita edging out the WII U worldwide ...

It wouldn't surprise me if Wii U had already sold more than the Vita. We have so little real sales data for Vita outside of Japan.

Based on VGChartz without any further revisions I could see the Vita continuing to plod along in Japan for the next year or so. And Sony are very unlikely to replace it so there's nothing to kill the sales dead.

Wii U I see just falling off a cliff the second is successor is confirmed. I think we now also know every game of note that will ever hit the Wii U and rumours of the major Wii U titles being ported to Wii U will likely dampen enthusiasm of anyone who was interested in Wii U and make them hold off until the successor.

Really has been a much closer race then anyone would have ever thought in those 2012 threads though hahah.

Yeah i remember those threads lol i remember people saying that after xmas 2012 that the WiiU would be ahead of the vita.

50/50. If Nintendo confirms NX with backwards c/remasters from Wii U, Vita may win this cruel fight.

Vita has an advantage: there won't be a successor to it, whereas the WiiU not only has one, it's coming really soon. If its last big game (Zelda U) can't make the difference, the Vita will surely win. But this is like a tortoise beating a snail in a race.

Make's no difference really. Both flopped to epic proportions. Sad really as they both are great consoles.

According to EEDAR WiiU already outsold Vita worldwide 1st of January 2016. Where they got their estimations from - I don't know. 

They also have the 3ds at 10 million less than Vgchartz lol
