Forums - Microsoft - Official "Xbox Live Arcade" Thread of Info and Wonder

News regarding XBLA. They are going to delete games that suck according to Metacritic average below 65% (and people to this day still discredit this awesome website), and demo-to-full conversion rate below 6%.

I think this is a great idea with alot of comments lately of shitty games on XBLA and overcrowdedness. What do you guys think?

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I can't wait to see how well ticket to ride has done.
If not: damn you all!

Today I began working through that little recommendation list you sent me mrstickball, but N+ (which was the 1st listed) was an instant purchase, so I didn't get very far.

It's an amazing little game, perhaps a tad expensive but certainly great value for money (looks like there's loads of levels at first glance, but I haven't really looked at the 'bigger picture', I've just been playing).

So yeah, thanks :D

If memory serves me correct, there are 500 levels on the initial purchase of N+ and there is a cheap (if not free) expansion coming very soon.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

No one here like Ticket to Ride? I thought it was very fun little board game. Now that the DRM issue is somewhat thing of the past I am more open to buying XBL games (bad news for my wallet).

I know people find idea of board games on 360 XBLA to be silly but look how well Uno is holding up. It would be great to see game like Risk, Monopoly and Clue on 360 arcade. I enjoy board games but I hate setting them up and in the case of Monopoly keeping track of all the cards , money etc. They are fun for the entire family or when we have company over.

Yes I am one of those 3 people that bought Soduku game ... but when you have just 15-20 min. to play game with your wife it's perfect. I never thought co-op Soduku would be fun.

The idea of board games on XBLA is definitely NOT silly.

Ticket to Ride is an awesome game, I'd rank the XBLA board games 1) Catan, 2) Ticket to Ride, 3) Carcasonne

We don't provide the 'easy to program for' console that they [developers] want, because 'easy to program for' means that anybody will be able to take advantage of pretty much what the hardware can do, so the question is what do you do for the rest of the nine and half years? It's a learning process. - SCEI president Kaz Hirai

It's a virus where you buy it and you play it with your friends and they're like, "Oh my God that's so cool, I'm gonna go buy it." So you stop playing it after two months, but they buy it and they stop playing it after two months but they've showed it to someone else who then go out and buy it and so on. Everyone I know bought one and nobody turns it on. - Epic Games president Mike Capps

Almost time for BRAID!
