I mean...

I still think the focus on the forums at all is detrimental to the site. The reason Neogaf is so big is because that's the the sole reason people go there - forums. People hear about gaf, and they think forums.

I've warmed up to the idea of the threads being an identifying factor of VGC, but I think that there has to be some way to handle it that gives the forums its own thing where it gets all the focus instead of what it's doing now. It has to be Gaf-tier. I'm frankly not creative enough at this time to think of that solution, though.



Around the Network

It would be nice if all of the active official threads were stickied so they are more visible to users/easier to find and I agree with the idea of having certain topics having their own official threads to limit the amount of spam threads. E3 for example is pretty chaotic in terms of how many spam threads are created. The last one caused this site to crash a good bit and there were 3 or 4 threads for each topic.



Unless this forum enters the 20th century and implements basic forum functionalities like subscribing to threads, this system will never work.



If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
