I'm assuming this advise is targeted at those long-time fans that probably make up the majority: those playing on normal. I mean, normal is the most common difficulty choice in games, and if players used hard before, they wouldn't need to be advised to play on hard now, no? So Insomniac seems to be suggesting that to get the same level of challenge as before on normal, hard should be chosen instead, i.e. normal is easier than before.



No trophies for hard? Think I'll just do challenge mode and I'm the biggest Ratchet and Clank fan ever.

The game is pretty easy (I'm almost done and 100% with hidden collectibles). That said, you're gonna die a lot. There's no shame in it, Hard mode is gonna kill you. Not in the frustratingly difficult way, though, more in the war of attrition sort of way.

This is probably the easiest game in the series though. Oddly enough, very few of my weapons feel high level despite this. So it's a bit of a disconnect between having underleveled weapons and breezing through the game.

Oh, if you have the choice, everybody, DON'T USE THE BOUNCER. If you pre-ordered you'll get it, but it's just as strong as in Going Commando, so it absolutely destroys everything. That might also be why it's so easy.

Yeah, I'm playing on hard and it's still not overly difficult. It is a good challenge on hard though.
