Being number one in an empty week like that is not réally an achievement big enough to talk about à successful launch.

I think thé game flopped and will struggle to even reach one million in à month.

Hmmm what other games released during the same week and wasn't quantum break heavily bundled by retailers in the UK. MS is just playing with words and including bundled as 'sales'. And the game has 77 metacritic can't see how they can honestly continue the "critically acclaimed" claim.

Now your being foolish. If a game manages to take top spot in an empty week doesn't mean it sold bad or flopped. The division for an example launched the 1st week of march with no competition and sold over 3 million units.

Please learn to read before saying someone is being foolish sir.

I didnt say thé game will flop because it's number one during an empty week. I only said that it doesnt say anything about it's success , thats à fact, you cant say a game sold well , decent or bad during an empty week unless you have the actual sales of thé game or at least thé sales of an other game in thé top. It could be à flop like à good success , no way to tell.

But i was betting its not à success at all considering everything we know.

You say that as if reaching one million in a month wouldn't be a good result.

For such big AAA, yeah, i wouldnt call that à good result.

that's fantastic, Remedy did a fantastic job. Next stop, Alan Wake 2.

We don't even know the cost of development for the game. It could be very likely that a million sold in a month would be more than successful for Remedy and MS (not even saying I think it will sell that much in a month, but still).

It tells us that it outsold every other game in the UK that week.

What do we know that leads you to think its not a success? MS themselves said the pre-orders have been strong and there expecting the game to do well.

Being realistic about such statement ==  downplaying it. Im just stating a fact. There have been several number one games in thé same context and still they didnt had high sales, so that doesnt mean anything, thats the reality.

Be free to quote m'y post when we get the real sales
