The game has been in development for "10 years".

While tecnically true, we all know thats not the case. The game had so many reimagining and revisions and was made much bigger than initially was that I dont really think you can say that it has been in development in 10 years. In my vision this is a completely different game from the one that was first revealed 10 years ago eve rsince they decided to make this FF XV instead of Versus. You could argue that the game is more expensive than it should have been because of that though.

My hopes for this game has been repaired after i seen that they improved greatly the gameplay. In the first demo it just felt weird. Not its much better, especially after IGN said it feels like KH.

You havent played the demo?

Unfortunaly Im far, far away from my PS4(and Wii U), and will be a long time until Im able to play with it again. Its been hard to not play MSG V, XCX, Fallout 4, Dark Souls and many more.Contenting myself with videos for now.

Edit:Ugh, I wrote wrong it my previous post.I meant:Now its much better, especially after IGN said it feels like KH.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Speaking of Uncharted 4 specifically, though FFXV is a full open world, it's draw distance isn't really much larger than Uncharteds.

Not defending FF XV's technical shortcomings, but it's easier to program draw distance regarding not-rendered places (or unnaccesible zones) than it is to do so in places you can actually visit.

Modern day gamers are like spoilt little brats that expect too much. The game looks fine, and when released it will run fine.

Add me if you want but let me know youre from this website

It's the internet, made for porn and bitching. That said, the last couple weeks have been trying my patience over people getting super butthurt over RUMORS of a new PS4, and now people are worrying over an unreleased games performance based on an obviously unoptimized demo.

Oh... as to why one can dismiss the graphics, i already showed you in the other thread but you choose to ignore. Points with great looking graphics next to low polly, low texture, no lighting structures. Like, next to each other.

That is bad graphics. If you are going to tell me FFXV has great graphics you will have to tell me how Kingdoms of amalur had great graphics and how those low res structures are to be ignored. I mean... its impossible not to notice. You can't just ignore 10% of the game that looks abysmal and say it looks good. You aren't beeing truthful.

The game looks good, but has many sloppy mistakes still. It needs optimization. If they manage to do that, the game will have great graphics... if they don't then it will be an inconsistance mess. Note, inconsistant graphics aren't good graphics. And all this is without even taking FPS into account.

Has there been a case of a game that went thru development hell and it was great when released?

Metroid Prime

Oh yeah, I know. I was talking mostly about the scene in the newest gameplay video where they come over the ridge and you can see the volcano. It's quite a large piece of explorable space.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Watch out. I don't think it plays like KH at all. You hold down one button and the character auto-attacks or auto-defends. These things are manual and instant on demand in KH. It's a very diferent feel. If you try to play it instantly, it won't work so well. You get locked into animations.
