I predict around about the end of the year PS3 install base will be around 10 million sold in North America. So when do you guys think PS3 will reach the magical mark of 10 million sold in North America?

Maybe, maybe not. 360 is going strong in the States. PS3 will have to bring some excellent exclusives, otherwise it will be 2009...

End of 2008, there already at 4 million now. its not gonna be hard to sell 6million more,especially with the big games coming soon. and dont forget the hollidays.

At 35k/week it would be about 163 weeks.

At 50k/week it would be 114 weeks.

At 60k/week it would be 95 Weeks

At 75k/week it would be 76 Weeks

At 100k/week it would be 57 Weeks

To reach 10 million one year from now (52 weeks), it would have to sell 109,615 per week.

Those are some simple calculations. I'd say it sells between 60-75 thousand per week, so my bet will be 85 weeks based on my calculations. This is about a year and 3/4 so my guess will be:

September of 2009.

Edit: of course you have to take into consideration the possibility of a price drop, which will only increase sales.
