Forums - Nintendo - Star Fox Zero - Let's back up the squadron - trailer

Looks fun, I won't buy it day 1 but I'll try to get it later.

This is another case of a Nintendo game looking a bit weak when it's first revealed, then looking progressively more impressive with each subsequent trailer.

I wasn't sold at all when it was shown off at E3 last year, but now I'm getting it day 1.

As someone whose introduction to the medium of video games was Starfox on the SNES in 1994, I look forward to saving the Lylat system once again.

Also, is it just me, or has the pace of the game been increased?

I swear I thought the footage itself was running in 1.5x speed or something at first. From the Arwing doing a backflip to the general rate of movement of both yourself and the enemies, it looks faster than before.

Looks better and better with each trailer. Can't wait for April 22nd!

I think it might the the fastest Star Fox. Also, I think there's a part of the trailer that the Arwing goes like 2, 3 times faster and looks completely insane. I'm not sure if they altered the speed since the E3. And seeing the huge enemy quantity, I thought that's why gyroscopic controls are in the game. Faster aiming. Similar to Splatoon. I'm not sold in All-Range Mode though.

Graphics still look so damn dated...
I really wish nintendo had done better when it comes to how this game looks.

I know they did a small bit of polishing to get it looking a tiny bit better, but it just not up to par with todays standards.

Oh god! To hell with graphics! If people want graphics, they should go play 1886 or Ryse or something, I've heard those have great graphics. Go play GTA V, it's got amazing graphics and a big world but it's also filled with fetch quests and annoying cutscenes within painfully dull missions.

Give me GAMEPLAY

It's funny how was my reaction with some Nintendo games these years. I've always been skeptical about some games the first time they were shown (3DWorld, StarFox, Hyrule Wariorrs...), but in the end they became day one for me. I don't regret one bit buying 3DW or HW when they were released.

Added trailer for Japan in OP, its evene better than that for Western markets.

Was this game rated? I wanna see Bayo riding the Arwing (as a assistant) in some form of easter egg. Not gonna happen, but still..

Not even a big star fox fan but that trailer made me feel like it was the late 90s/early 2000s again. And I don't mean in a bad way. I hope NX is backwards compatible, if so I'll be picking this up.
