There's already signs that they will reward physical purchases down the line, I say we just wait and see. As for the expiration, yeah it's dumb but look how points are gotten. You get rewarded for just signing in on a weekly basis. Alot easier to get some than Club Nintendo I say.

Let's see...they give you free points [currency] for doing mundane stuff. They give free points to purchase a digital game. And they have the nerve to say that those free points you get for free, will have to be used in a half of a year or you won't get to use the free points they gave you for free. FREE! And damn Burger King and their Buy1 get1 free coupons that only last 2 months...

Yea as of now this new rewards program pales in comparison to club nintendo.

I was expecting for an expiry date, but not in half a year.. at least one was my expectations :/

Tbh you do get these points from simply doing insignificant things in software like Miitomo, it's equivalent to achievement points essentially so the expiration makes sense as it's free.

Gold points should never expire.. imo

But the coins are not going to expiry until after E3.. So I think people should wait until after that.. before they go mad.. (Nintendo could change some then)

And dont understand why OP is using "will not revard physical games" when infact the news in this is.. that they look into it and may will..

I'm hoping they push it to longer than six months soon, but right now as somebody who's using it, six months isn't bad. Platinum Miitomo Coins are insanely easy to regenerate (300 per week) and there's only two or three game rewards that cycle out alternating every three months. It's not like there's massive droughts of awful reward games that you never wanted, it's looking to be sometimes exclusive content and other content that debuts ON MyNintendo.

I'm also guessing they'll do rewards on NX physical games near launch, they'll just leave the current gen stuff to die off with digital.
