If Alison Rapp was Steven Rapp, no one would even be aware of the story. The whole "poor helpless/harassed female" angle is so tired... so... so tired.

I disagree. Jared Fogle is male.

she's a cam whore and she work for a family friendly game company
alison should have known better

If I were a relatively attractive white woman, I'd have been just as presumptuous as Rapp.  Today's society lets white women who are anything close to attractive get away with a hell of a lot more than the average woman -- and they let women in general get away with a hell of a lot more than men.

If this whole incident were involving the guy who got fired a while back (Chris Pranger), the internet would probably be collectively laughing at him right now.  That's why I kind of roll my eyes when I see people white-knighting for Rapp because her firing was clearly her own fault.  She chose to act unprofessionally towards Nintendo fans, she chose to be a cam-girl and prostitute, she chose to have her beliefs involving child pornography be publicly known and available and she chose to keep her visible tattoos and nose rings even though Nintendo repremanded her multiple times, telling her to maintain a professional appeareance for her job.  People defending her should ask themselves this; if they did the kind of stuff that Rapp did while working for a family-friendly corporate company, would they still expect to be gainfully employed?  I wouldn't.  I'd expect to have been fired because of one of her major screw-ups alone -- especially if I were working at PR/marketing.

It all boils down to sheep behavior. Right now, it's vogue to defend "poor helpless white women" who are harassed online by "evil gamers". The media and other attention seeking, self serving female bloggers/you tubers have created the entire thing and are keeping the flames stoked in order to keep the ad revenue/attention flowing.

People aren't capable, in any large number, of thinking critically. They must follow along. Be thankful you aren't one of them.

This!

Is neogaf even allowing the alison rapp discussion now that their narrative was completely destroyed?
