I applaud Microsoft for their actions. They just took a giant leap in my estimation. There are too many companies that do a lousy job of cracking down on cheaters, and those self absorbed players hurt everyones experience. Doing anything outside of the standard rules to obtain a higher score no matter your motivation is considered to be cheating, and it has always been so for three decades no less. Your the modern equivalent of the guy who used to tilt pinball machines, or the guy who would tag team a game to get the highest score in the arcade.
Those were unfair antics then, and they are unfair antics now. You ruin honest players experience with your underhanded behavior. Honest players work hard to unlock their achievements, and it isn't about the entirety of your score. Every achievement is prominently displayed for those who are interested. Why do players work hard to unlock some ask. Well its for the same reason you play any game. The sense of accomplishment, and the sense of self worth. You demean those who put the effort forward by abusing the system.
What your not telling everyone in this thread is this. You absolutely cheated to up your gamer score, or more to the point you were happy to have it go up thanks to your cheating ways. Your reputation matters to you, and getting extra points tagged onto your gamer card made you feel even better about your choice. Otherwise you wouldn't be throwing your childish tantrum. Your ill gotten reputation is ruined. Which is should have been. Were you sincere in your belief you wouldn't really care that Microsoft busted you since you weren't concerned about your reputation or your gamer score to begin with.
You brought this upon yourself, and you deserve the full measure your getting. Don't blame Microsoft for keeping the environment fair for all players who collect achievements. Were you sincere about not caring then why complain at all. Microsoft is merely highlighting the fact that you are a non competitive player.
I am proud of my gamer score it may not be huge, but I know how hard I worked to get some of them, and when I see my friends have high scores I am proud of them, and if they are higher then me on a game I love I feel the need to get a little farther. Microsoft isn't stopping you from using your machine of your online service. You on the other hand were hurting my gaming experience.

So your basicly calling me a liar and I'm the one ruining the entire gaming world. And your wondering why I'm throwing tantrum? Look I haven't called anyone a name or anything, I'more annoyed by people in the forum then MS I'm annoyed that people like yourself are so upset by cheaters, but see nothing ehtically wrong with calling someone a liar who you don't even know. The bottom line is I didn't lie, I've donwloaded one gamesave for one 360 game, and many for other systems. And never for the sake of a score(before the 360 there was no gamerscore in fact the ps3 and wii gamesave community are more popular then the 360 game save community and they don't have gamerscores, so obviously there is more and better reasons then that to download gamessaves.). Honestly in my mind high gamerscores just make you look you have to much time on your hands to play games, most of my friends I'm embaressed to tell them how many games I play, they don't play games we are all older and are married with kids and have more important things to be doing then worrying about achievments(escpecially when they don't unlock prizes). There is no pride at all in a gamescore, because there are so many games with stupid ones that can pump your figure up. and it's totally a scam to get you to buy crap just for that reason. What pride would there be in me downloading a halo 3 save so I could have 1000 achievment points in it then I suck online? It would make me look like an idiot, people would be like what the hell you got all those achievements but you suck!!! It would make me look worse. The only gaming pride i have is when i'm good enough to win online against people or do well on my team. And for the record I have never played unfairly online or at the arcade,
but I've been screwed over by unfair gameplay endorsed by Microsoft!!!! Like when they allowed silver accounts to play Halo 3 just to boost Halo 3s number against COD4, tons of gold members that rank 40+ in Halo started silver accounts and played social slayer with a level 1 guy, and slaughtered me over and over. The funny thing is I doubt I'll show up on the list I used 1 gamesave over a year ago, and can't play that game again since the disk is scratched. It's highly unlikely that they'll brand me a cheater. If they do fine, I don't care about the gamerscore, I'm a little annoyed that a company i've given so much to would find a way to insult it's cosumer without warning. If they took away my cheated points and just warned me that would be fine, but this wasn't standard policy day one, It shouldn't be retroactive.
