Chazore said: That's a lot of money for a single Christmas gift, I wonder how many parents are willing to pay for that alone plus another £300 for the system, if not another £500+ for regular gifts, if they don't spend more than that on their kids then they have less chances of buying a VR device for them, Wii numbers I can't see happening though. |
Neither of the retailers actually said they thought it would sell Wii-like numbers though. They only compare it to the Wii in terms of it being a sort of must-have novelty experience in games, that will be an atteactive gift during christmas times, if your kid is a gamer and has a PS4 to usea PSVR with. (Paraphrased) No sane person would expect PSVR to sell like the Wii, and I think it's rather clear that that's not what they are trying to say either.
I don't even particularly agree with them that it will feel like a must-have in that sense, but that's what they are saying, not that they think it will sell Wii-like numbers.
"It could feel similar to the Wii’s first Christmas when it was the must-have present. "
