Considering how I answered to his post, I feel like I have to disagree on this.

I honestly didn't see the punchline in it tbh, though if that counts as a joke then boy does that set the bar for what can be seen as a joke.

Almost certainly the NX, unless Ninty manage to make it even worse than the Wii U. Definitely won't be getting it at launch though.

Xbox 2, who knows. Not sure MS has any real interest in making any new IPs themselves. So it will be dependent on what else they may do with it. If it is possible to get PC games on it somehow than that would turn it into a must buy. But I don't know if they could do that.

I'd go with the PS5. I expect Nintendo to piss me off with something. And I'll just skip the console.

Nintendo and Xbox. No other system is worth it or comes close for me. Unless Sega comes back

PC is so far away from my vision of the future (simplicity) that it is out of the question.
I have not bought a console at launch since Gamecube - interesting games have to convince me.
I have really enjoyed the WiiU & 3DS as the portable screen make it possible to play without sitting in front of a big screen.
Usually Nintendo games win me over, but I really would want to play PC genres like RTS/TBS, Simulation-games, Card-games and Board-games.
So - nothing at launch, a special interest in Nintendo - but also a feeling that gaming (as we know it) will end with this generation!

Nintendo's handheld for sure, and most likely their console.

I'll get Sony's console if any exclusives interest me.
