Seeing that I am going to buy a PS4 for this game... I have to say, I am glad that I can get a 1TB model from the shelves.
Vote the Mayor for Mayor!
The 500 GByte sure fills up quickly. But I thought that 50€ more for 500GB more was a worse deal than upgrading later to 2TB HDD, a SSD or a SSHD. You can get a 2 TB HDD for ~70€.

Buy physical games and delete games you are not currently playing = problem solved. |
Physical requires the exact same amount of space as digital. You are aware of that correct?

and what happens if the game has game breaking bugs that require patches? Gen ends and you can't get te patches anymore, so you stuck with installed game. |
I do not think that patches for games will ever go down. Unless PSN and Xbox Live cease to exist

Physical games install, and delete quickly. Digital games have to be downloaded, and re-downloaded every time they are deleted. |
This is true, I generally do buy physical but there are still some people who think that physical does not use HDD space on a PS4
